Privacy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Please read this policy carefully to understand how we treat your personal information and what your choices and rights are. If you do not agree with it, you should not access or use the Site.
Cognita is based in the United States, and the Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from another country, your information is processed in the United States. Where the law of your country gives you rights over your personal information, contact us and we will honor them.
Cognita Holdings LLC (“Cognita,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal information we handle, and to telling you plainly what that is. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes our practices when you visit our website, https://cognita.io (the “Site”).
Usage data. When you load a page, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data: the date and time, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the pages requested, the referring page, and your browser type and operating system. We use it to operate and secure the Site.
Communications and inquiries. If you contact us, we receive your name, your contact details, and whatever comments, questions or other information you choose to send.
What we do not collect. The Site has no forms, no accounts and no email list. It loads no third-party analytics, advertising, tag-management, font or social-media scripts; every file it uses is served from our own domain. We do not use cookies or similar technologies to track visitors, to advertise, or to build profiles.
One security cookie. Our hosting provider’s network sets one short-lived cookie, named __cf_bm, that helps it tell real visitors from automated traffic. It is not used to track you or to advertise.
We use the information above to operate, secure and improve the Site; to respond to your questions and requests; to maintain records of our communications with you; to comply with law and with lawful requests; and to exercise or defend legal rights or claims.
We may share personal information with our affiliates; with service providers and professional advisors who need it to provide services on our behalf, such as our hosting provider, accountants and attorneys; in response to subpoenas, court orders or other legal process, or to comply with law; and in the event of a merger, reorganization, sale or other transfer of our company or its assets. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their direct marketing.
We keep information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our business requirements and legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When we delete data it is removed from our active systems, but it may remain in archives where deleting it is not practical.
We have adopted security measures designed to protect the personal information under our control, and we review them from time to time. No security system is perfect and no data transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from the Site. If a data breach compromises your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator when the law requires it.
Use the contact details at the end of this Policy to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to raise a complaint. We honor requests when we are required to do so under applicable law.
California. Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, California residents may request, once each calendar year, information about personal information shared with other businesses for their direct marketing. We do not share personal information with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes.
Nevada. Nevada residents may submit a verified request that we not sell covered information, as those terms are defined under Nevada law. We do not sell covered information.
This Policy applies only to the Site. The Site may link to websites operated by third parties, such as LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy policies and terms; we do not control them and are not responsible for their practices.
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe we have received information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on the Site with a new “Last updated” date, and changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Site after that date constitutes your acceptance of the current Policy.
